The 3rd edition of the International Students’ Scientific Conference The Sound Ambiguity is a continuation of a project initiated in 2014 by the Research Association of Composition and Music Theory Students of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw, during which we hosted representatives of almost all music academies in Poland, as well as young researchers from Great Britain, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Ireland, Austria, Australia and Turkey. Once again, the honorary patronage over the event has been taken by Prof. dr hab. Krystian Kiełb, Rector of the Academy.
During the upcoming edition, which will be held on April 21-22, 2016 once again we will try to answer questions related to the essence of one of the closest to us phenomena – sound. The interdisciplinary nature of our project allows to put sound in a broad context – not only in the art of music, but also in language, culture, surrounding audiosphere, as well as the natural sciences and social sciences.
The 3rd International Students’ Scientific Conference The Sound Ambiguity is not only a number of interesting scientific panels, but also a project enhanced with numerous special events, for example: a lecture by Amelia Golema, PhD concerning selected issues related to music psychology, student composers’ concert featuring the works of the youngest artists Wroclaw and the auditory field game connected with the subject of “the sound ambiguity” created in consultation with Michał Moc, PhD – creator of the Festival mYear.
