Dr Andrzej Mądro – music theorist, graduate of the Music Academy in Krakow. As a student he took part in numerous courses of music criticism, seminars and scientific conferences. He has given lectures, including the 14th International Musicological Conference “Piano Music” in Gdańsk (2007), IX and X Polish-Lithuanian Musicological Conference (2006 in Krakow, 2010 in Vilnius), XI International Congress on Musical Signification in Krakow (2010) and Popular Music Studies Today. 19th Biennial Conference of IASPM in Kassel (2017). In 2009-2010 he was a member of the editorial team of the portal”Polish Muse” and “Festival Daily”. In 2012, he cooperated with Kluszczyński publishing house as the author of several dozen slogans of the Dictionary of Polish culture. Dr. Andrzej Mądro is also a member of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music and the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music. His scientific interests are primarily in the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, but also electroacoustic, progressive (from rock to djent) and jazz. In 2017 for the doctoral dissertation Music and new media. Polish electroacoustic art at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, he received the Ks. Professor Hieronim Feicht award from Section of Musicologists of the Polish Composers’ Union. The work was published in 2017 by Music Academy in Krakow.
