Composer, guitarist, sound engineer. Born in 1981, he graduated in composition (in the class of Prof. Zygmunt Krauze) and in sound engineering (in the class of Prof. Andrzej Lupa) from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and also from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, Warsaw University. In 2006 he obtained the degree of Doctor of Music Art. Since 2010 he has been Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Sound Engineering and the Computer Music Studio of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Since 2015 a member of the Polish Composers’ Union.
His compositions have been performed at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad. He composes acoustic as well as electroacoustic music, theatre and film works. He has won awards at many composers’ competitions. In 2014 he received the Magna cum Laude medal for the best graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. In 2013 he participated in IRCAM Forum Workshops in Paris. In the same year For Tune released his monographic CD entitled Loopowizacje with pieces for electric guitar solo, with chamber ensembles and with electronics, featuring the composer himself as a performer.
Wojciech Błażejczyk is also an active guitarist performing contemporary music for electric guitar. He has given concerts at various festivals such as the Warsaw Autumn Festival, Musical Polonica Nova, Musica Electronica Nova and Warsaw Musical Meetings. As a sound engineer he has been cooperating with the Warsaw Autumn Festival since 2008 and he also creates sound design for films and audiobooks.
